Redmi 9i debuts in India
Xiaomi launched Redmi 9i on its Indian website, www.mi.com, and on Flipkart as well Mi Home and Retail outlets. It is available in two variants – 4GB RAM + 646GB storage and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage – which are priced at Rs 8,499 and Rs 9,299 respectively. It also has expandable storage up to 512GB via microSD card slot.
Redmi 9i has three colour options, including Midnight Black, Sea Blue, and Nature Green. It has a 6.53-inch HD+ IPS display with 1600 x 720 pixels screen resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. Running on the MIUI 12-based Android 10, the smartphone is powered by a 2GHz Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G25 processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU.
Positioned as a budget smartphone, Redmi 9i is a dual-SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM cards. It has a 5,000mAh battery with the company’s proprietary 10w fast charging support. It has multiple connectivity features including Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS and micro USB.
Redmi 9i boasts of a 13-MP camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, auto-focus and a pixel size of 1.0-micron. The 5-MP selfie camera also features f/2.2 aperture with face unlock. In the absence of a fingerprint sensor, this last feature can also be used to open the phone.
